Non-Invasive Neurofeedback Therapy and Training in Madison, MS

The Only NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Therapy and Training System in Mississippi

Neurofeedback Training is a non-invasive training system for the brain, used to help improve focus, sleep, anxiety, depression, and more.  Neurofeedback technology has been around since the 1950's and often utilizes an electroencephalogram (EEG) to help the participant's mind improve its functioning.  Our system, NeurOptimal®, plays calming music while monitoring the individual's brain activity.  When the mind becomes unbalanced, the system ques a short skip in the music.  These skips work like a rumble strip on the interstate, gently notifying the mind when it has driven off the road.  This process helps the brain to naturally autocorrect and find realignment, which we've seen have dramatic, positive benefits for our clients.

Neurofeedback Therapy and Training for ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Sleep

A growing body of research (opens in is recognizing the positive benefits of NeurOptimal® neurofeedback therapy and training on focus and attention (ADHD), sleep, anxiety, and depression.  We have worked with hundreds of clients so far, many of whom have reported improved follow-through at work, memory and attention improvements, deeper sleep, and lighter moods.  We've also seen improvements in individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and children too young to understand why they are participating in the exercise.  Meaning, these improvements are unlikely to be due to placebo.  We know that medication and therapy are often helpful for neurodevelopmental disorders (like ADHD and dyslexia) and complex trauma and PTSD.  But some people do not respond as positively as others to these interventions.  Which is why we offer this service: to provide another resource to help you get better, faster.

"Neurofeedback training has changed my life. I understood that it takes time for you to see results (6-8 sessions) so I stuck with it, and the results are so profound I have maintained a weekly session to help me overcome my PTSD and trauma responses. I am so glad I tried it and stuck with it because now learning new things is no longer as difficult as they were before. I can't stop recommending this to my friends and family!"

How Does Neurofeedback Therapy and Training Work?

In cognitive psychology, we have identified at least two primary ways of learning.  These two ways are sometimes referred to as slow or explicit learning (the type you do when you're reading about something new) and fast or implicit learning (the type you do when learning to catch a ball or read another person's emotions).  Implicit learning is remembered in our nervous systems and bodies and is more felt and experienced rather than articulated and abstracted.

Our neurofeedback system teaches the brain implicitly by gently redirecting participants back into a state of balance via the skips in the music.  And this implicit learning is what results in the improvements in stress, focus, sleep, and more.  Just like with riding a bike, what your brain learns during training cannot be forgotten.  So, results stick and sessions can be stopped once a person feels better (or at any time).  Most people report noticing improvement within just six sessions, and because our approach is non-invasive, there is essentially no chance of experiencing any lasting, adverse symptoms.
